Theme parks are a good example. Around the USA and the world, there are numerous theme parks that we can choose to visit.
Amusement Parks are not just for summertime anymore, they now offer many special events through winter.
For many of us, the summer will quickly come to an end. The thought of going to an amusement park sends a chill down our spine.
However, in the early winter season, amusement parks offer many different activities such as Halloween spooky haunted houses and Christmas spectacular lighting events.
Wherever you are, try to make it to one of these theme parks for a fun and entertaining time.
Six Flags, Fiesta Texas offers a Fright Fest this Halloween and Holiday in the park. Check their website or call for time and day.
The Tony Hawk’s Big Spin roller coaster with whirling cars that drop, twist, and lift is a big hit for brave riders. The Superman Krypton Coaster spirals you through the air at 70 miles an hour.
There are other entertainment events at the park if you are not into extreme rides.
This is the first marine park, featuring wildlife encounters, and killer whales show as well as rides. It opens year round.
Sea World offers sleepovers where you bring sleeping bags, pillows, and camp out next to the manatees, sharks, dolphins or Beluga whales. There are currently seven sleepover locations.
Call or check their website for information. You can also book parties which include dinner and breakfast, and the price is about $120 person.
Mount Olympus Water and Theme Park
The Olympus Water and Theme Park is open year-round since it offers both indoor and outdoor parks.
There are over 42 water slides, wave pool, kiddie area, 5 roller coasters, and 7 go-cart tracks.
There are many other rides to meet all members of your family. If you buy your tickets online, it is only about $23. Unlimited admission is about $27, and children under 2 years of age are free.
Hershey Park offers Hershey Park in the Dark for Halloween, and Christmas Candy Lane in Hershey.
This candy theme park has 10 gravity-defying coasters and a Hershey museum. The Hershey Park will be a big hit for your children.
The Christmas Candy Lane will be opened from mid-November through December. One million lights and holiday decorations will transform Hershey Park into a winter wonderland.
Take advantage of the 3-mile Hershey Sweet Lights spectacular display for about $20 per car.
Busch Garden has over 50 rides, 10 main stage shows, and a magical children’s area.
“Curse of DarKastle” ride won the park its best theme park in the world attraction in 2005. Busch Garden also won four consecutive awards as the “Favorite Theme Park.”
From September 14 to October 28, the weekend nights turn spooky at Busch Garden Europe, which included in general admission.
Haunted houses, ghouls, and rides through the darkness and chilling effects will give you a frightening atmosphere.

Cedar Point is an amusement theme park located in Sandusky, Ohio, USA. Cedar Point is owned and managed by Cedar Fair Entertainment Company, which also owns numerous amusement theme parks around America.
The park holds the title for having the most number of roller coasters in a single park, which totals to 17. Cedar Point is the only park to have 4 roller coasters that are taller than 200 feet.
The park is one of the oldest parks to date that is still operational. There are four different kinds of rides, namely, the Thrill rides, the Water rides, the Family rides and the Children’s rides.
Famous rides include the Millennium Force, Magnum XL-200, and the Top Thrill Dragster.
Legoland is a chain of theme parks that cater to young families. It has four parks around the world, three of which are located in Europe: Billund, Denmark, Windsor, England, Günzburg, Germany, and one in America, in Carlsbad, California.
The oldest and biggest of the four is the one in Denmark. The parks’ rides are all designed like gigantic Lego’s, many of which are built to look like Lego bricks. Each ride is specifically designed to emulate those products that they are selling.
The famous miniland can be located inside all the four Legoland parks, and it is the heart of Legoland. Here you can see the world in miniatures and enjoy the fascinating beauty of the world.
Dreamworld is home to 13 worlds. From the tallest and fastest thrill rides, to live interactive shows and unique animal attractions.
Dreamworld is located on Coomera, Queensland. The park is Australia’s largest theme park.
The uniqueness of the park includes the Screamworld, which opens at sundown; features all thrill rides and a selection of children’s rides.
One of the major attractions in Dreamworld is the Nickelodeon Central. Nickelodeon Central features rides based on characters from the network. Famous rides include SpongeBob FlyPants, Runaway Reptar Roller Coaster, and the Slime Bowl.
Dreamworld is also home to Australia’s most lovable creature, the Koala. The park is promoting wildlife awareness and conservation to Australia’s endangered animals. Schedules and tickets may vary.
Universal Studios Theme parks
Enter the thrilling world of movie magic as you “ride the movies” on roller coasters and other movie-themed attractions. Be dazzled and delighted by an immersive entertainment experience that brings the silver screen to life.
Universal Studios is a division of NBC Universal. The company operates numerous theme parks based on the movies it has produced.
The company currently has four theme parks and two under construction. The parks are located in Hollywood, California, Orlando, Florida, Osaka, Japan, and recently in Singapore.
Some of the attractions of the park include Jimmy Neutron’s Nicktoon Blast, which is located in Orlando, Florida. Back to the Future: The Ride is located at the Universal Studios in Japan.
One of Universal Studios Singapore’s attractions is the enchanted airways. Surely, you will never miss the fun.
Disneyland, oh Disneyland. The enchantment Disneyland gives to young people and to the young at heart is indescribable.
As you enter each of their parks, you feel something different. Disneyland also bases their rides mostly from the films they produce. The park has branched out into the world.
Disneyland has a park in California, one in Florida, another in Paris, another in Tokyo and most recently in Hong Kong. Famous attractions include Tomorrowland, Mickey’s Toontown, Adventureland, and Fantasyland.
At Disneyland, you could meet so many characters like the famous Mickey and Minnie Mouse, the Disney Princesses like Mulan, Pocahontas, and Jasmine.
You can also celebrate Christmas and Chinese New Year at Disneyland where you can witness an awesome fireworks display.
